Rob Rossmeissl, Esq.

Rob Rossmeissl is an associate at Dorsey & Semrau, specializing in tax law, foreclosure, and bankruptcy. Regularly appearing in the Tax Court of New Jersey and before County Boards of Taxation, Rob has helped to achieve innumerable positive financial outcomes for the Firm’s clients. Rob’s expertise in New Jersey Tax Law was honed not only through his work in private practice, but also through a judicial clerkship in the New Jersey Tax Court for the Honorable Joshua D. Novin, J.T.C.

Rob is a graduate of Rutgers Law School, where he served as Leader of the Honorable Morris Stern Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project, participating also as a student attorney for the program’s low-income clientele. Rob performed a similar service for underserved community members in his work for the Rutgers Federal Income Tax Clinic, gaining a command of the Federal Tax Code in the process. And Rob bolstered his tax law proficiency in an Externship he served with the Internal Revenue Service. While in law school, Rob Co-Chaired both the Rutgers Tax Law Society and Rutgers chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.

Prior to attending Rutgers, Rob worked as a legal assistant for two successful law firms in Chicago. His path to the legal profession began in public service, with work in the offices of a Governor and a U.S. Representative.

Rob graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007, with majors in Journalism and Political Science. He is admitted to practice law in the States of New Jersey and New York.
